Columbia Orthopedics and JAG-ONE Physical Therapy collaborated to host over 100 people at the Teaneck Marriott on Monday, September 24, 2012 for a seminar titled, “Shoulder Injuries in the Collision Athlete”. With football season in full swing, the physicians wanted to serve as an educational resource on topics relevant to shoulder injuries for medical professionals as well as parents, players, and coaches in the local community. Attendees were treated to a first-class event comprised of a full buffet, free giveaways, along with the opportunity to absorb techniques and expertise from some of the area’s top orthopedic surgeons including New York Yankees Head Team Physician, Dr. Christopher S. Ahmad.
Experts in their respective fields, Columbia Orthopedics’ Christopher S. Ahmad, MD, Edwin R. Cadet, MD, Charles M. Jobin, MD, and Charles A. Popkin, MD, presented on the following topics: First time shoulder dislocation, shoulder instability with bone deficiency, acromioclavicular separations, and evaluation and return to play following shoulder injury. John Gallucci, Jr., MS, ATC, PT, DPT, President of JAG-ONE Physical Therapy was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
