College football Hall of Famer Donald McPherson and John Gallucci, Jr., the Medical Coordinator for Major League Soccer and President of JAG-ONE Physical Therapy, will speak about athletics and education at James Caldwell High School on Thursday, April 18, at 7 p.m.
McPherson and Gallucci were invited by James Caldwell High School Athletics and the Caldwell Gridiron Club to speak at this free event, which is open to the public.
McPherson, a member of the class of 2008 College Football Hall of Fame, will speak about maintaining academic performance, dealing with the media and coaches, addressing alcohol and other drugs, recruiting student athletes and social networking sites.
He has lectured across North America, appeared on national television news and the Oprah Winfrey Show and testified before Congress.
Gallucci, President of JAG-ONE Physical Therapy, will speak about steroid use, sports enhancing drugs, concussions and injury prevention, rehabilitation, sports medicine and athletic conditioning.
JAG-ONE Physical Therapy is an outpatient physical therapy company which provides care for general orthopedic, sports and soft tissue injuries. Gallucci currently serves as a governor-appointed member of the New Jersey Council on Physical Fitness and Sport and has expertise in injury prevention, rehabilitation, sports medicine and athletic conditioning.
He has appeared on radio and television, including ESPN’s award-winning Outside the Lines, MSG Varsity, NJ News 12, FiOS 1 TV News, and WFAN.
A question and answer session with both speakers will conclude the evening.
