Gallucci: Coaches, parents, athletes can find ways to minimize injuries by planning ahead

It’s that time of the year again.
With the women’s college season about to begin this weekend, high school practice ready to start next week and the kickoff of fall youth soccer just around the corner, Major League Soccer medical coordinator John Gallucci Jr. expects an uptick in injuries.
It’s only natural because injuries are a part of sports.
Gallucci, however, felt many of those injuries could be mitigated if parents, coaches and athletes take the proper preventive measures before any training begins.
