Dr. Joseph Rivieccio graduated SUNY Downstate Medical Center valedictorian in May 2016 with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy receiving the Samuel B. Feitelberg Award for highest academic/clinical honors. Prior to his attendance at Physical Therapy School, Joseph graduated with his B.S. in Kinesiology from Brooklyn College, earning Cum Laude honors. Following graduation, he accepted a job at One on One Physical Therapy in 2016 as an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist. Dr. Rivieccio has recently attained APTA board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). He also holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), through the Red Cross as an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Functional Movement Systems (FMSC), Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Kinesiotaping, and is a Crossfit Level 1 coach. Dr. Rivieccio is currently in pursuit of his APTA board certification as a Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS), as well as a residency in orthopedic manual therapy. His physical therapy interests include ACL rehabilitation and pain science. In his spare time, Joseph enjoys working on his fitness blog, being a novice triathlete, powerlifting, playing football, and hanging out with friends and family
